Perhaps, you should read what I said again. You didn't seem to understand it.
You said "These ... ( 1 year ago by mike23984)
You said "These people thought they could make money off the internet, but the internet hasn't matured as a distribution mechanism to the extent that one can trade immediate work for the promise of future revenue."
It has matured, and money is changing hands from advertisers to website owners. Money is being made, it just isn't being distributed because there is no clause in their contracts allowing them to get paid.
You dont understand ... ( 1 year ago by Bloodthr0e)
You dont understand. That sentence of mine that you quoted was pointing out that these people quit their immediate jobs for a piece of nonexistant money in the future. They gave up real money for nonexistant money. The internet hasn't matured to extent that one can promise future revenue for immediate work. That is why this strike failed and why the people in the strike lost money. I didn't say you can't make money off the internet. The leaders of this strike were stupid and hot-headed. Goodbye.

The Simpsons ... ( 1 year ago by Plastic5Skull)
The Simpsons writers are the best. They are hilarious and intelligent. Too bad Swartzwelder wasn't there, he would have had hilarious things to say. But it sucks he is too reclusive.
I agree, its time ... ( 1 year ago by LunarSkye)
I agree, its time to get a new show runner is, the show for the most part has only had about 5 showrunners, for 20 seasons, personally I think the job should go to Matt Selman & Ian Maxtone Grahame, or perhaps Tim Long.
Tim Long hasnt ... ( 1 year ago by BartmanMC)
Tim Long hasnt really impressed me much over his past 6 episodes. Matt Selman I would prefer the most because he has written really the best episodes lately and has a lot of humor. Not to mention has been working on The Simpsons since season 9. Ian is great too and has been working since season 7 but I prefer Matt.

George meyer is one of my favorite writers on the show.

I agree, but I full on HATE Matt Selman, he has written the worst episodes I could think of.
Like the recent 'Treehouse of Horror XIX'.....pure garbage. Ian's awsome though, I wish he could write solo episodes again.

it's out now, but season 12 will be out september or october.
Do you like Trilogy ... ( 1 year ago by BartmanMC)
Do you like Trilogy Of Error which Matt Selman wrote or The Father Who Knew Too Little. I agree I would like to see Ian write solo again I just wounder what is up with that.
who was that guy at ... ( 1 year ago by Guitarist500)
who was that guy at 0:31? sounds like George Meyer a bit... and that guy between Rob LaZebnik (Who I thought should have written more episodes) and Tim Long (Who shouldn't have written any episodes at all). Max Pross?
I'm also surprised that 'Tom Gammill & Max Pross' haven't written any episodes at all lol.
also is that David Mirkin next to Mike Scully and Rob?
I don't mind the ... ( 1 year ago by Guitarist500)
I don't mind the Trilogy of Error, but "it didn't feel like a simpson episode" and what is up with Tom Gammill and Max Pross, they never write any episodes! lol except jokes, I now that.
Array ( 1 year ago by BartmanMC)
I agree Tom & Max get payed to work on the show for now 11 years and has yet to write an episode. Every other producer including David Mirkin has wrote atleast 1 episode. I miss John Swartzwelder.
I think the guy at ... ( 1 year ago by BrisbaneBoy86)
I think the guy at 0.31 is Dan Greaney. If you ever hear him on the DVD commentaries, he has the best laugh ever!

oh, I just realised it is! lol I was thinking "where is this guy was from?" lol. thanks
same, but he is ... ( 1 year ago by Guitarist500)
same, but he is most likely going to come back for the Movie sequel. Not really looking forward it though lol. BUT Once season 15 and the 2nd movie comes out. I'm gonna watch EVERY episode written/co-written by him. imagine that lol.
by the way. do you know anything that Richard Sakai and Bonita Pietila do on the show? they're credited as 'Produced By..." not realy sure of that. I'm also wondering what recent thing David Mirkin did for the show, and Mike Reiss, too. and Dan Greaney.
Richard Sakai is ... ( 1 year ago by BartmanMC)
Richard Sakai is the president of Gracie Films. He has worked with James L. Brooks for a long time. Mike Reiss & David Mirkin are part time writers on the show and I dont know why they should be fulltime. Aswell with Dan Greaney who used to work fulltime a full time a few years ago. Ron Hauge is back as Co-Executive Produxer and I would love it if Greaney came back full time that would be a cool.
Ok ok...Sorry, I ... ( 1 year ago by SUPERMARIOSONICX)
Ok ok...Sorry, I won't watch it on Crappy Hulu. I support them, they're dedicated to their work and they've worked hard just to be ignored. And they are right about the Media conglomos, they are Disney and other assholes trying to make tv their way and mess it up for everyone. Believe me, I've been warned many times of these people. o.o
I reckon the next ... ( 9 months ago by Guitarist500)
I reckon the next additional executive producer for 21st season might be Joel Cohen or John Frink for some reason. It's probably gonna be the same as the previous season.
The Executive ... ( 9 months ago by BartmanMC)
The Executive Producers coming this season after the holdovers old last season are Al Jean, Ian Maxtone Graham, Matt Selman, John Frink, Joel H. Cohen, Kevin Curran, J. Stewart Burns, Michael Price, & Marc Wilmore.
With so many EPs I think one of them will be co-showrunner or multi show runners. My guess Al Jean, Ian Maxtone Graham, & Matt Selman.

I think that season ... ( 1 month ago by TRSStv)
I think that season 20 (after HD) and season 21 are pretty good better than the 2000's to 2009 but not as good as season 1-9. But I think the reasons the show became bad is because they ran out of ideas and they might have gotten snobbish and though nothing could happen
